In midfield, questions remain over the futures of Alexis Mac Allister and Curtis Jones amid ongoing uncertainty surrounding long-term plans. Meanwhile, forward Federico Chiesa is also expected to leave after struggling to establish himself consistently at the club.
Goalkeeper Alisson Becker has additionally emerged as a target for Juventus, with reports suggesting the Brazilian would be open to returning to Serie A after several successful years in the Premier League.
According to a report from Paul Joyce of The Times, another long-serving Liverpool player could now follow Alisson in attracting serious interest from the Italian giants.
Juventus Interested in Andy Robertson
Liverpool reportedly informed Andy Robertson earlier this year that he would not be offered a contract extension as the club prepares for a new era under its current recruitment strategy.
The Scotland captain has found regular opportunities harder to come by since Liverpool signed Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth last summer, with the younger full-back increasingly becoming the preferred option at left-back.
Tottenham Hotspur explored the possibility of signing Robertson during the January transfer window, although a move failed to materialise because Liverpool were unwilling to weaken their defensive depth midway through the season.
Despite losing his guaranteed starting role, Robertson is believed to feel he can still compete at the highest level, and Juventus are now reportedly considering a move for the experienced defender on a free transfer.
Robertson Could Join Alisson in Turin
Paul Joyce reports that Juventus are keen on bringing Robertson to Turin, where he could potentially reunite with Alisson if the goalkeeper also leaves Liverpool this summer.
Robertson joined Liverpool from Hull City in 2017 for a fee of around £8 million and has since become one of the club’s most successful modern-era signings.
During his time at Anfield, the left-back has won the Champions League, two Premier League titles and several other major honours, while establishing himself as one of Liverpool’s standout performers over the past decade.
However, the arrival of Kerkez appears to have signalled the beginning of a transition away from Robertson as the club focuses on younger options moving forward.
The 32-year-old has also been linked with Atletico Madrid and a possible return to Celtic, but Juventus could offer him the chance to continue competing at the top level in European football.
A move to Turin could also strengthen Liverpool’s pursuit of Juventus full-back Andrea Cambiaso, who has reportedly been admired by the club for some time.
